General Information

A task force is a working group led by a process surgeon to create a base for Host center certification and training. The following criteria apply to all task force positions

Commitment and active participation as a KOMISS member;
Proven experience and expertise in specific areas of focus of the task force;

All interested KOMISS members are welcome to contact KOMISS to discuss how they can add value to their task force activities. Individual surgeons can also be commended for task force positions. The final selection will be made by the task force leader and KOMISS president.

Education Task Force

The Education Task Force is dedicated to revolutionizing spinal surgery education through dynamic methods tailored to the learning environments of surgical facilities.

Key objectives of the KOMISS spinal education initiative encompass:
  • Embracing blended learning approaches.
  • Hosting hospital-based events for immersive learning experiences.
  • Offering hands-on training courses to enhance practical skills.
  • Facilitating low-cost remote access events to widen participation and accessibility.
